Welsh duo Charlie Morgan and Jackson Quinn are the proud owners of Au Vodka.

British DJ, producer and TV presenter Charlie Sloth is also a partial owner of the company.

According to their , Au Vodka is, "Inspired by gold, Au Vodka incorporates the periodic table where gold is a chemical element with the symbol Au and atomic number 79".

Au Vodka has enjoyed international expansion and is available to purchase in a number high end shops around the world, including Selfridges and Harvey Nichols in the UK.

The luxury brand now boasts an expanded range of seven flavours including Au Original, Black Grape, Fruit Punch, Blue Raspberry, Green Watermelon, Red Cherry and Pineapple Crush, Bubblegum and Double Espresso Coffee Liqueur.

When was Au Vodka founded?

Au Vodka was founded in 2015.

According to reports, friends Charlie then 19, and Jackson, then 21, decided to see if they could make their own vodka so they produced one, naming it Au Vodka.

They first produced 2,000 bottles and launched the new founded beverage locally in a few bars around their home city of Swansea.

Word of mouth across the city helped it build up a great reputation, and it gathered plenty of attention thanks to its trademark eye-catching gold bottle.

Following Charlie Sloth's involvement with the brand, Au Vodka started getting celebrity attention and the brand took off - now selling millions of bottles each year.

Where is Au Vodka made?

According to Au Vodka official website, ''each batch of Au Vodka’s Premium Vodka begins with the finest grain grown in the heart of the English countryside, which is then blended with pristine spring water before being filtered''.

The bottle however is created in Italy.

The website explains: ''Hand metalised in Italy, the bottling process has been perfected over four years of craftsmanship.

''Each bottle of Au Vodka is finished with a unique metallisation and uses the finest pewter labels sourced from deep in the European hillside.

''This process means that every bottle features subtle differences, making every bottle of Au Vodka unique.''
