Cops said at least two cars pulled up to the strip mall when an altercation later took place and shots were fired.

Two victims were transported from the scene to local hospitals, where one was later pronounced dead, reports .

It is not clear how the second person was injured but is said to be in a stable condition.

"I heard, 'pop,' and I thought it was a car starting up, and then I heard two more pops and another one," said witness Nick Christeleit. "I saw people running into Target, so I ran into Burlington (Coat Factory), and I told the manager I heard gunshots."

Eyewitness Hunter Phillips, 21, told  that he and his father heard the gunshots while trying to find a parking space.

Phillips said he saw a man leaning over the hood of a white car firing off shots at a black vehicle, whose driver was returning fire.

Both gunmen later ran from the scene, with one of them losing a shoe as he fled, Phillips said, adding that a passenger in the black vehicle then fell out of the car and was covered in blood.

“He was so disoriented,” he said of the shot passenger. “He was really bleeding bad.”

The area in front of the store was taped off and at least a dozen cop cars were scattered around the parking lot.

HANDGUN ON GROUND

A handgun could be seen on the ground next to an evidence marker, according to local reports, and what is thought to be blood spotted on a wall.

Witness John Volpe said he was in the store toward the back with his girlfriend, when suddenly there was a panicked stampede to leave, with people yelling there’s a shooter.

He said there was a mad rush of people getting out of the store.

A witness outside the store, who didn’t want to give her name, reported seeing a man who was covered with blood in the parking lot.

Target employee Jayden Ofray told that customers came running into the store after the shooting.

The store was locked down until police arrived.

Ofray said a co-worker saw two men wearing black masks running towards a car after the shooting.

He told the news outlet that police appeared to have apprehended one person.

Northampton County District Attorney Terry Houck said at a press conference: "We're not sure who at this point but one of the vehicles fled from the scene, but again, that's under investigation."
