Clueless lottery winner has just a month to claim £1million jackpot or lose out on life-changing sum
A LOTTERY winner holding a £1million ticket has just a month to claim their prize - or lose it forever.
Punters are urged to check pockets, the bottoms of handbags and down the back of the sofa as soon as possible to avoid missing out on the life-changing sum.
The player won on March 12 this year under the UK Millionaire Maker draw.
But almost five months on, they haven't come forward to claim their winnings.
And they only have four weeks left to get their pay day.
After September 8, their winnings - including all the interest accumulated - will be spent on National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.
The ticket was bought in Cheshire East. It has the winning code JZLP20395.
And the person who bought the slip is one of a number of Brits who haven't yet come forward to claim huge sums of cash.
One ticket-holder in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire may miss their opportunity to win the Set For Life prize - which offers an astonishing £10,000 every month for 30 years.
Another five Brits are unknowingly sitting on £1m pay-outs.
News of numerous unwitting millionaires comes as one player missed out on a whopping prize.
IT REALLY COULD BE YOU
Officials at Camelot had appealed urgently for the holder of the ticket, which won the UK Millionaire Maker's top prize, to step forward.
The ticket, with winning code VSHS38986, was bought in Lewisham, south east London, before the draw on January 29.
Unfortunately the owner missed their six-month deadline - which expired at midnight on July 29.
Camelot’s Andy Carter said: “Unfortunately, I can confirm that the ticket-holder did not come forward within the deadline to claim their prize and has now sadly missed out on this substantial amount of money.

“However, the money will now add to the £36m raised on average each and every week for National Lottery-funded projects across the UK."
Meanwhile, in March one young couple missed out on the £182million Euromillions jackpot – when they realised their winning ticket payment hadn't gone through.
Rachel Kennedy, 19, and Liam McCrohan, 21, from Hertfordshire were “absolutely heartbroken” when they realised their usual numbers had come up, but they had won nothing.
