Online casino mocks Madeleine McCann’s family in sick tweet about Man Utd’s new £109million signing Paul Pogba
AN ONLINE bookies has sent a sick tweet comparing Paul Pogba’s transfer to Man Utd with the disappearance of Maddie McCann.
Fruity King Casino said the call to let the French midfielder go to Juventus for free – before buying him back for £109million – was "worse" than the decision made by Maddie's parents to leave her alone on the night she went missing.
The three-year-old vanished from her family's Portuguese holiday apartment in 2007 while her parents Kate and Gerry McCann were out for dinner nearby.
The tweet, which Fruity King say was a "joke", said: "Letting Poga go on a free, then buying him back @ €100m. Worst decision since the McCanns went for dinner. #Pogback"
Outraged Twitter users slammed the bookies as “disgusting” for making fun of an abducted child.
One said: "Slightly disgusting for a company wanting to get big #getsomemorals."
"What a lovely company you must be to make fun of an abducted child. #Blocked," said another.
While another added: "Never heard of you before. Blocked you now. Hope you go bust. Imbeciles."
The vile tweet, sent to Fruity King's 2,264 followers, was published in the same week it was announced British police have stopped their forensic investigation into Maddie's disappearance.
It's believed the decision to stop forensic work was taken after the most recent tests failed to take the investigation forward.
Operation Grange is expected to be shut down in the autumn after being launched five years ago - costing £12million.

Fruity King
Fruity King's controversial comment this week isn't the first time the online casino has ruffled feathers over its marketing ploys.
Earlier this year it compared Leicester striker Jamie Vardy to a holocaust victim.
It posted a pictured of the Leicester City striker with the caption: "Jamie Vardy looking like an extra from Schindler's List".
The account also mocked the weight of Man City footballer Yaya Toure’s wife.
Fruity King put out a tweet saying: “Sure she’s bubbly but someone needs to remind Yaya Toure he’s on £220,000-a-week. Start abusing this privilege”.
Man Utd's latest signing, 23-year-old Paul Pogba, said it was "the time is right to go back to Old Trafford" after completing his world-record £109m transfer to Manchester United today.
He returns after four years away after being sold by United for just £1.5m in 2012.
He has now signed a five-year deal with his old club.
A Fruity King spokesman said: "It was a joke.
"I'm sure some people may consider this Tweet distasteful, but it was not intended to cause widespread offence.
"The Tweet is scheduled to be removed."
