"Supporting @ECFRS with a dangerous building and Head Street closed."

Another spokesperson added: “We are on scene of an incident in Head Street, #Colchester, after we received concerns over the integrity of  part of a building.

It comes just a day after a little boy was left fighting for his life when a mirror fell on him at an upmarket department store in Essex.

Cops and paramedics were called to Fenwick in Colchester High Street at 11.30am, where the five-year-old had suffered serious head injuries.

The air ambulance also landed nearby and the youngster was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

Essex Police said the incident remains "under investigation" but it is understood the boy's life-threatening injuries were caused when a mirror landed on top of him inside the shop.
