One female police officer was injured during the two-hour rampage
VIOLENT teenagers hurled glass bottles at coppers as they tried to stop an illegal music party being shut down in Clapham last night.
The horrifying scenes played out as hundreds of police officers wearing riot gear surrounded the Clapham Park Estate.
Party-goers are believed to have attacked cops - injuring one female officer - in clashes likened to the "Wild West".
Neighbour Ja’e La told the : “It sounded like World War III was about to start.
“At about 9pm trouble started to kick off and the police were ushering the crowds out of the estate.
“Once the police started to move the crowds the hostility began. It was literally a Western-style standoff between the two parties before the remaining young people were moved off to the main road.”
The summer street party, which was advertised on social media, saw two teens injured in the chaos.
The ravers are thought to have turned on the cops as they tried to help a young woman who had collapsed.

A Met spokesman said: “Police were in attendance at Clapham Park Estate, Plummer Road, from 9pm after a large number of people gathered for a pre-planned barbecue and unlicensed music event organised through social media.
“Following community concerns, officers worked with the local authority to prevent the unlicensed music event going ahead.
“At 9.26pm, parts of the increasingly large crowd become hostile to police and items, including bottles, were thrown towards officers as they went to the aid of a woman who had collapsed.
“No arrests have been made.”
