DUDE, WHERE'S MY CAR?

Furious family left stranded at Manchester Airport after bungling parking firm LOSES their car

A FAMILY was left stranded at Manchester Airport after a parking firm LOST their car.

Perfect Air Parking charged the Golding family £55 for the 'Meet and Greet' service when they went on holiday to Spain.

But dad Paul, 34, was outraged to find the company, which former customers have branded 'tin pot', couldn't find his Ford C-Max MPV.

After returning from their family holiday on Friday, Paul rang the parking firm to let them know they had landed and to deliver his car back to him.

But bungling staff told him they couldn't find it.

He was told there was "nothing they could do" and that he could ring the police if he wanted, Manchester Evening News .

Paul ended up having to fork out £68 for a taxi for him, his wife and his three kids to get from the airport to their home in Leigh -- around 20 MILES away.

The following day Perfect Air Parking called Paul to tell him they had found his car, but had now misplaced its key.

He is yet to get his car back, and said that he is now stranded at home.

He booked his parking stay through Perfect Air Parking using vouchers, but was told his service would be provided by Car Park Manchester.

Speaking about the inept firm, Paul told the M.E.N: "We couldn’t believe it.

"Obviously the whole point of a meet and greet is that it is quick and simple and you can get away.

“But this was complete chaos.

This caused a lot of extra worry and stress and put a bit of a dampener on [the holiday] at the end

“You expect when you leave your car with someone the one thing they will do is know where it is and look after it.

“There was 14 of us who went away and we had a great holiday.

“But this caused a lot of extra worry and stress and put a bit of a dampener on it at the end.

“We’ve been stuck at home today not able to go out and we just want it back as soon as possible.”
