Lee Rigby’s killer loses legal fight after getting injured in jail as solicitors refuse to work with him

LEE Rigby’s killer planned to sue the prison service after his teeth were knocked out in jail but no solicitors will take his case.

Michael Adebolajo, 31, demanded up to £20,000 of taxpayers’ money.

The extremist who led the attack on Lee in May 2013, launched a legal fight after he lost two teeth when he went berserk and was restrained.

But solicitors refused to work for him because they did not want to be publicly linked with the murderer.

Adebolajo lost two front teeth in the fracas at Belmarsh jail in South East London when he was tackled by five prison officers.

They were suspended and investigated and cleared of any wrongdoing.

A source said: “Adebolajo has found it impossible to get a solicitor to take on his case.

The feeling is that by representing him it would be like taking blood money.

Nobody wants to associate their name with the killer of Lee Rigby.

Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale, 25, were convicted at the Old Bailey of murdering Fusilier Lee, 25, near his barracks in Woolwich, South East London.

They pinpointed him as a soldier, ran him down with a car and hacked him to death.

After the first investigation into the Belmarsh officers, the Crown Prosecution Service said: they “concluded that there is insufficient evidence for a realistic prospect of conviction”.
