Bill Cosby’s wife Camille ditches her wedding ring as she is seen for the first time since his release from prison

BILL Cosby's wife Camille was not wearing her wedding ring as she was seen for the first time since her husband's shocking release from prison after a judge overturned his sexual assault conviction.

Camille Cosby, 77, was caught ring-less as she headed into the couple's luxury New York apartment by herself on Friday in exclusive pictures obtained by The Sun.

Camille, who has been married to Bill for 57 years, stood by her husband throughout the infamous trial and sexual assault conviction.

This is the first time that the TV producer was seen without the wedding band.

It comes after Cosby was from prison and had his sexual assault earlier this month after serving three years out of his 10 year sentence.

Cosby insisted after the shock decision from Pennsylvania's Supreme Court that "I have never changed my stance nor my story. I have always maintained my innocence."

 and his wife are Montgomery County over the three years he spent incarcerated for the now-void sentence.

According to , the legal team is thinking of suing for abuse of process over the aggravated indecent assault conviction. 

After his release, that he plans to claw back ''hundreds of thousands'' of taxpayer dollars in ''compensation'' for his time behind bars.

During an interview on  , Cosby's publicist Andrew Wyatt said: ''We are looking at what recourse, what legal recourse we can take against the state of Pennsylvania."

The release of the Cosby Show star was met with an , who pointed to the decision as an example of "broken justice."

One accuser, , said the release could discourage other sexual assault victims from coming forward in the future.

"It may discourage those who seek justice for sexual assault in the criminal justice system from reporting or participating in the prosecution of the assailant or may force a victim to choose between filing either a criminal or civil action," she told .

Some of Cosby's accusers also gathered at the Independence Mall in Philadelphia last weekend to hold a vigil in protest of the court's decision.

Actress Lili Bernard, who accused Cosby after starring on the Cosby Show, said the news hit her like a ''gut punch, a sucker punch.''

"I have six children. I was trying to go about my morning as a mom," she told the 

"I’m trying to gather myself, and I’m just sobbing."
