George Zimmerman punched in the face in restaurant for ‘boasting’ about killing Trayvon Martin in infamous shooting in 2012

Trembling shooter calls cops to say he fears for his life ... and asks for 'three or four' officers to save him

George Zimmerman — the man acquitted of murdering an unarmed black teen — has been punched in the face for allegedly bragging about the fatal shooting.

Zimmerman called 911 to report that he was assaulted by a man at a restaurant in Sanford, Florida, over the weekend.

Zimmerman claimed he feared for his life.

“He said he’s going to kill me,” Zimmerman said.

“You need to send like three or four cops.”

Zimmerman shot and killed high school student Trayvon Martin in February 2012 when he was on a neighbourhood watch patrol at a gated community in the town.

He was acquitted of murder in July the following year.

Zimmerman has courted controversy ever since.

In May, he hit the headlines after putting the gun he used to shoot and kill Trayvon up for sale online.

It was reportedly sold to an anonymous buyer for $138,000 (£105,000).
