Pug puppy somehow appears on the top of owners’ garden shed

Tiny pooch got stuck after trying to pursue washing line obsession

A TINY pug puppy has left her owners scratching their heads after mysteriously appearing on the ROOF of an eight-foot garden shed.

David Williamson said eight-month-old puppy Frankie has developed an obsession with the washing line and believes this prompted her inexplicable climbing act.

The 26-year-old claims the cheeky foot-tall pup has been unable to clear a two-foot baby-gate in their Manchester home.

David and 31-year-old girlfriend, Laura Chard, are so desperate to discover how she got there last month that they have even started putting treats on the roof in a bid to catch her in the act.

David said: "She's like a little hurricane, she's always doing random things.

"She must have some balls to scale something that big though.

"It was a nice day and she was out in the garden playing with a football.

"You can usually hear her banging into stuff because she's so clumsy but it went quiet for ages so I went outside and she was on the roof.

David, who has had Frankie since she was just eight weeks old, said he could not resist taking a snap of the pup's antics.

David said: "I was in shock but I thought 'I have to take a picture' and then I shouted 'what are you doing?' to her.

"I think she realised then that she couldn't get down and started crying so I grabbed her."

He believes the pooch may have climbed up high to get closer look at the washing line, which she has become obsessed with.

David said: "She was out in the garden one day and she just became fixated on the washing line.

"I don't know if it's the colour of the pegs or something but we can't even let her out in the garden if there's clothes on the line because she just jumps on them.

"She'll pull on towels to try to get to it and I think she's climbed up onto the shed to chew it."

One theory is that the pup may have used some flags propped up against the shed to her advantage, but that still leaves a five foot jump for the miniature canine.

David said: "She must have got on to the flags and done some sort of Mario jump to get up on the shed.

"We've got a baby gate in the house and she can't even get over that so I don't know how she did this.

"I was just baffled and we really want to know how she got on there.

"We've even left a treat on top of the shed and sat there watching to see if she'll go back up.

"I have never had a pug before so I didn't know what they were capable of!"
