Man killed and two others injured in stabbing but cops rule out link to Russell Square

Cops still hunting attacker after horrific killing on London estate yesterday

A MAN has been knifed to death and two others injured in a stabbing in south-west London.

Scotland Yard said there was no link to the Russell Square knife attack and no suspicion of any terror-related motive.

Police found a man in his 30s who had been stabbed on the Winstanley Estate in Battersea at roughly 6pm yesterday.

He died at the scene a short while later and is yet to be formally identified.

Two other men who had also been stabbed were found nearby and were taken to hospital suffering from non-life threatening injuries.

No-one has been arrested and detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.

A woman who lives on the Winstanley Estate but asked not to be named, : "There's been a lot of violence there.

"I've heard people yelling, banging on doors.

"Last month there was someone banging on a door shouting 'let me in, let me in,' lots of aggression.

"I don't feel safe around there."
