Hunt for mysterious creepy clown carrying black balloons after he is spotted prowling the streets of U.S. city at night
A TERRIFYING clown has been spotted stalking the streets of a US city in the dead of night.
Clasping black balloons and wearing demonic make-up, the eerie entertainer made his first appearance only two nights ago in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
He was sighted at around 2am underneath Mason Street Bridge, according to locals.
Snaps taken from afar show him standing completely still and staring into the distance.
But as the unknown photographer moves in for a closer look, the ghostly clown appears to begin slowly walking away.
The sighting has caused such a stir that a has already been set-up dedicated to working out who the mysterious figure could be.
Online investigators have also named the nightmarish character, calling him 'Gags' the Green Bay Clown.

Initial theories suggest Gags could be the creation of a local amateur film director making a horror movie.
However, this has not been confirmed.
Gags is the latest in a long list of creepy clown pranksters that have appearing in towns all over the world.
One of the first in the UK was in Northampton, where a figure dressed as Pennywise, the clown character created by horror writer Stephen King, was spotted in 2013.
He was later unmasked as a student named Alex Powell.
