Mum claims Tesco worker told her boy, 4, to ‘stop taking the f***ing p*ss’ when he took more than one free piece of fruit

A FOUR-year-old boy was told "don't take the f***ing p*ss" by a Tesco employee after taking an extra piece of free fruit, claims his furious mum.
Lizzy Groombridge Byrne, 22, says her son Roo was sworn at by the male member of staff when he noticed the youngster pinch a banana.
It was on a 'help yourself' table as part of Tesco's Free Fruit for Kids initiative in their store in Camborne, Cornwall, to encourage youngsters to eat more healthily.
Lizzy said: "I turned round and heard a senior male member of staff say to my son 'Uh hum, don't take the f*****g p*ss, it's one'.
"He swore at my son because he'd picked up an extra piece of fruit, but he's only a small child, for goodness sake, and it was hardly the crime of the century.
"I was disgusted at him using language like that to my son.

"I was left feeling embarrassed in front of everyone, and my son was upset at being told off by someone who had no right to do so.
"To swear was just one step further."
Lizzy is now calling for an apology from Tesco - but a spokesman told The Sun that an investigation has found their employee was "helpful and courteous".
They said it was "disappointing" to hear how Lizzy had described the exchange on Monday afternoon.
The young mum said: "I agree one per child but how dare he speak to my little boy like that.
"I didn't catch the name of the member of staff but he appeared to be team leader possibly.
"I said to him 'how dare you speak to him like that - I didn't notice and would not have allowed two, but maybe try saying it nicely!'
"He just walked off. Some of the other customers agreed that what he'd said just wasn't on."
She's lodged a formal complaint and has vowed not to shop at Tesco again.
A Tesco spokesperson said: “We have investigated our customer’s complaint and found that our colleague was helpful and courteous, so it is disappointing to hear the exchange described in this way.
"The manager at our Camborne store would be more than happy to meet with Ms Goombridge to talk through the benefits of our 'free fruit for kids' initiative."
