Donald Trump blasted as not fit to run the USA after being pictured eating KFC with a knife and fork
Republican presidential candidate was mocked mercilessly on Twitter as he ate his dinner on his private jet
DONALD Trump is no stranger to controversy but even he must be astounded at the reaction he got when he shared a picture of him eating KFC.
The Republican presidential candidate sat down to his dinner on his private jet after a day on the campaign trail – and tucked in to the fried chicken using a knife and fork.
Trump rested his KFC bucket and a salt shaker on a copy of the Wall Street Journal newspaper and posed for a photograph while clutching his cutlery.
He tried to be casual about it by removing his tie and undoing the top buttons of his shirt before sitting down at his table.
But this did not stop him from being mercilessly mocked online.
One Twitter user wrote: “Eating KFC with a fork and knife is like eating a candy bar with chopsticks.”
And another handed the keys to the White House to Hillary Clinton, by saying: “Whatever you think about Trump, eating KFC with a knife and fork should disqualify him to be president.”
This Twitter user also took the opportunity to remind everyone of the time when Donald Trump went out for dinner with Sarah Palin – and disgusted everyone in New York by using his knife and fork.
And it looks like Donald Trump has lost more than a few votes, with Twitter user Santi posting: “All the idiotic things you’ve said are one thing, but eating KFC with a fork and knife is one step too far Donald!”
And these two Americans definitely aren’t big fans:
Earlier this year while on the campaign trail in South Carolina he said he likes fast food when on the road – particularly McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC and Wendy’s.
Speaking back in February he said he liked the food as well as the chains reputation for cleanliness and safety.
He said: “One bad hamburger, you can destroy McDonald’s.
“One bad hamburger and you take Wendy’s and all these other places and they’re out of business.
“I like cleanliness, and I think you’re better off going there than maybe some place that you have no idea where the food is coming from.”
“The other night I had Kentucky Fried Chicken.
“Not the worst thing in the world.”
While on May 5 he shared a picture of himself about to devour a taco bowl, saying it was to mark the Mexican festival day Cinco De Mayo.
In the caption he wrote: “The best taco bowls are made in Trump Tower Grill.
“I love Hispanics!”
His meal came after a day in which he had called Hillary Clinton the devil and said the presidential election result was going to be rigged.
