Woman, 33, killed as child and two other adults seriously hurt after their BMW and a Land Rover collided
A 33-YEAR-OLD woman was killed and a child and two adults seriously hurt in a car crash last night.
The group were travelling in a black BMW when it collided with a Land Rover in Shipton-under-Wychwood, Oxfordshire.
The woman, who was a passenger in the back seat of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The child and two other adults, who were also travelling in the BMW 118, were rushed to hospital for treatment.
A passenger in the black Land Rover Freelander was also taken to hospital with injuries.
Neither of the drivers were hurt.
The incident occurred at about 8.20pm at the junction of the A361 and the B4437.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following the fatal crash.
Investigating officer PC Darren Baker, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "Tragically, this incident has resulted in the death of a woman, as well as causing injuries to a number of others.
"I would like to hear from anybody who was travelling in the area at the time and saw the cars involved, or who may have a dash-cam recording which could assist our investigation.
