BROKEN bottles used as weapons, hammers and knuckle dusters are being found in schools as cops grapple with a wave of student violence.
Scared teachers have been forced to call police after pupils threatened them with physical harm.
Educators say they've been confronted by kids with acid, bleach, guns, knives and hammers, while in Hertfordshire cops found broken bottles, claw hammers, sharpened rulers, butterfly knives and a taser, Sunday People reported.
While in Cambridgeshire, police discovered kids with baseball bats, chains and knuckle dusters.
Teacher David Simmons - who was threatened by a pupil with a knife - said: "Young people don't understand the effect of carrying knives.
"They're getting younger and younger and gang members recruit them to carry drugs."
Campaigner Theresa Cave's son was stabbed to death in Redcar, North Yorks in 2003.
She said: "There's not enough education in schools, nothing has changed in the past 18 years.
"Young people are left on street corners with no self-esteem, they end up carrying knives.
"It's getting out of hand. The Government needs to sort funding out for charities so we can get out there to work with these kids."

One 17-year-old boy in Northumbria has been arrested 162 times, having first offended when he was just 13.
Between 2017 and April last year, cops were called to 1,550 reports of kids with knives at school, Sunday People reported.
