AN ear specialist has quit her job over a row about her "unacceptable" EARRINGS as she claims she was "victimised" by hospital bosses.
Luna Ibrahim lasted just 11 weeks at Milton Keynes Hospital after being told her various studs - including small dice earrings - failed to conform to uniform policy.
The 40-year-old audiologist says she felt pushed out of the door after staff took exception to her taking a stand against hospital rules.
She said: "On my first day I was told by my boss that I had to take out all of my earrings.
I felt so uncomfortable I couldn’t cope.

“I noticed other people in the department were wearing hoop earrings and I wanted an explanation about why my piercings were unacceptable.
"But I don’t think [my boss] liked that I said no to her."

Now she wants MK Hospital to reconsider their policy after comparing her discrimination to racism in the work place.
She told The Sun Online: "I believe that to suggest someone's professionalism is based on their appearance.
"And as such it is discriminating against those wearing multiple piercings on the basis that others will think them unprofessional.
"It is akin to racism which is discrimination on the grounds of appearance too."
The mum-of-one was signed off with depression soon after her ordeal.
She has since found another audiologist job in Eastbourne where she has moved to with her teenage daughter.
Luna told the : “The hospital said they did not conform to their uniform policy, but what’s unprofessional about my earrings? I’m looking at other people’s ears, they’re not looking at mine.”
“I think uniforms should only be based on safety, it’s so ironic that as an audiologist I quit my job over my earrings.”
MK Hospital guidelines say staff may only wear one pair of plain studs for pierced ears - with the wearing of long or looped earrings not permitted.
A spokesman added: “We are not able to share information about individual employees or their actions in this matter.”
