Pal who helped Mick Philpott start fire that killed his six kids released from jail
THE pal who helped dad Mick Philpott start a fire which killed his six children has been released from jail halfway through his sentence.
Paul Mosley was caged with Philpott and his wife, Mairead, after they were found guilty of the youngsters’ manslaughter.
Mosley, 54, who had sordid sex sessions with Mairead, got 17 years but was freed on Friday after eight and a half.
He will be subject to strict licence conditions.
A Prison Service spokesperson said: “This was a truly horrific crime – Mosley is being closely monitored under strict conditions and could be brought back to prison if he breaches them.”
But Derbyshire Tory MP Nigel Mills said: “Most reasonable people would think all three of these individuals should be serving a life sentence and never released.”
Mairead, 38, was freed in November.
Her husband, 65, who planned the 2012 house fire in Derby to frame his former mistress, got life with a minimum 15 years.
