“The Bungalow” was the venue for the advertised “Big Mansion Pool Party – My League” on Sunday, running into the early hours of Monday.

Over 450 guests had flocked to the mansion party, which was rented especially for the event and organised by a Jamaican rap artist, named Braintear Spookie, 21, and Summerlyn Farquharson, known as “The Female Boss Krissy”.

A police spokesman said detectives were last night still quizzing a man, who was arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, and a woman for allegedly assisting an offender. Both are from London.

Detectives were still appealing for any witnesses to the killing and if anyone witnessed a black and white Mini leaving the scene.

Formal identification of the shooting victim had not yet taken place.

Community support officers carried out door-to-door inquiries in the leafy village.

The dance event, which was licensed by the local Mole Valley District Council in Surrey, was in full swing just before midnight with hundreds of cars converging on the village.

Furious residents complained to the police who visited the party to tell organisers to keep the noise down.

Summerlyn said she ran back inside the house after hearing the shots go off

The deadly shooting happened at around 2.30am at the pool party

At about 2.30am officers were back at the bungalow – which has large indoor and outdoor swimming pools – after other neighbours dialled 999 reporting hearing gunshots coming from the location.

A spokesman said that a joint operation with other police forces was underway to try to track down the shooter who sped away from the melee as terrified partygoers dashed to their cars to flee the gunshots.

The £20-a-head party had been advertised on websites with a reminder on Sunday saying that it was taking place at “a posh location in the hills.”

Partygoers were given wristbands to wear to prove they had paid the entry fee to the event which was believed to have been held at the same venue in previous years.

A spokesman for Surrey Police said that the shot man was a visitor to the house and did not live there.

The property was advertised on housing websites as being available to hire at £5,000 a month.

It was understood to be owned by a property developer who regularly rented it out to party organisers.

Evidence of the size of the massive party was clear from the mountains of rubbish and litter spread across the back lawn of the property, including half eaten food.
