Vicky, who lost her leg when the theme park's Smiler ride crashed last year, took part in a sexy photoshoot that she says has helped build her confidence.

However, critics have accused her of using her injury as a publicity stunt.

Answering back to the negative reaction, Vicky said: “I’m not milking it, I’m speaking out and showing absolutely anybody has the power to fight for what they want."

She said that she had received encouragement and support from others which has helped to drown out the nitpickers.

“The feedback and support I have received already is amazing!" she continued.

“Thank you to everybody who continues to support me.”

In an appearance on  this week, Vicky revealed she was so overcome with emotion she cried when she first viewed the pictures.

The accident left her low on confidence and self-esteem, she explained.

She said: “I lost all my confidence with myself and I didn’t feel beautiful or sexy, I never thought I’d feel that again.”

However, the racy photoshoot – arranged for her as a birthday present – changed all that.

“I cried my eyes out. I was amazed, I didn’t think I would ever look like that again. I saw it and straight away I saw the first picture and I was just in tears.

“I’ll wear little dresses now, whereas before I would put it on and just think no and take it straight off.”

Alton Towers blamed "human error" for the devastating crash in June 2015, which also led to fellow thrill-seeker Leah Washington, 19, to lose her leg.

Parent company Merlin is being prosecuted under Health and Safety laws.
