Lego launches rainbow-themed figures to celebrate LGBTQ+ community
LEGO is building inclusivity into its figures — with a rainbow-themed set to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.
The 346-piece “Everyone is Awesome” offering includes 11 figures with their own colour and hairstyle, including a purple drag queen.
Lego vice-president Matthew Ashton, who designed it, said: “Representation is important.
He added "I wanted to create a model that symbolises inclusivity and celebrates everyone, no matter how they identify or who they love."
The £30.99 set goes on sale next month.
On the Lego Matthew wrote: "I grew up in the 80s and was obviously a gay kid.
