Funeral of Brit mum killed by burglars in front of baby will be held today

THE funeral of a Brit mum killed by burglars in front of her 11-month-old baby will be held on her Greek island home today.

Caroline Crouch, 20, was strangled and suffocated by a masked gang who broke in to steal more than £30,000 in cash and gems.

Her husband, Charalambos Anagnostopoulos, 32, was flying with her body yesterday to the Greek island of Alonisso, where she grew up with her British dad David and Filipina mum Susan.

Today, shops and businesses will close as a mark of respect as her funeral takes place.

Caroline was murdered in Athens on Tuesday.

The couple’s dog was also killed and their baby, Lydia, was threatened.

Helicopter pilot Charalambos was tied up.

He said: “I realised that my wife was dead when the police released me.”
