George Harrison’s estate slam use of Beatle song for Ivanka’s speech at Republican National Convention
Representatives took to social media saying playing 'Here Comes The Sun' was against their wishes and "offensive"
DONALD Trump has already upset Queen and The Rolling Stones, and now the estate of former Beatle George Harrison has complained after his daughter Ivanka walked onto the stage at the Republican National Convention to one of his tunes.
His family tweeted on Thursday night saying 'Here Comes The Sun' had not been authorised for use at the GOP event held in Clevenland, Ohio, US.
They first posted on social media: "The unauthorized use of #HereComestheSun at the #RNCinCLE is offensive & against the wishes of the George Harrison estate."
The musician wrote the song which was featured on the Beatles' Abbey rode album which came out in 1969.
They then joked in another tweet: If it had been Beware of Darkness, then we MAY have approved it!" and followed it with the hashtag: "TrumpYourself."
That particular track was on his own album which was released in 1970.
Harrison died in 2001, and never showed an allegiance to any major party. However, he did support a number of humanitarian causes, and a also the Natural Law Party, which was founded in 1992.
It followed the principles of Transcendental Meditation.
The group had candidates in a number of British elections but never got as far as winning one per cent of the vote.
They put up candidates in several British elections but never got even one percent of the vote.
The Trump team has already been in hot water for using Queen's hit: "We Are the Champions" and also got a complaint from Paul Rogers, when they used "All Right Now" which he created when he was with British rock group Free.
