Finding Freedom’s new chapters could ‘blow chances of reconciliation’ & ‘break all trust’ between Harry, Meghan & Queen

NEW chapters set to be included in Meghan and Harry's biography Finding Freedom could blow any chance of the royal pair reconciling with family, an expert has claimed.

Duncan Larcombe, author of : The Inside Story, warned any new scandal could break all trust between the couple and the Queen.

He said the book's new content will be "extremely telling" about how deep the apparent rift between the Duke of Sussex and his family really is.

An updated version of the book by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand is set to be released this summer.

It comes as:

The first edition was published on August 11 last year. It painted a flattering picture of Meghan and Harry.

It covered the period of time between when they met in 2016 to their decision to step back as senior royals in early 2020.

And the Sunday Times claims it's now being updated with new chapters on the couple's bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey and the death of Prince Philip.

Allegations that Meghan, 39, bullied staff will also be in the book. The Duchess fiercely denies the claims.

Mr Larcombe said there will be little chance divisions in the family can be healed if the book is negative about the royals, or if in-depth details of any personal conversations between Harry and his family are included.

"That really will be the final straw," he told .

"That'll be it - there will be no chance of a reconciliation ever and all trust will be broken.

"How could anyone from the Royal Family trust them again if the intimate details of conversations were leaked?

"Why would they want anything more to do with them?

"Those chapters will be extremely telling as to the state of the royal rift as it stands now, and to where it'll head in the future."

The updated book is also expected to discuss Harry and Meghan's multi-million pound deals with Netflix and Spotify, as well as their new life in California and the Queen's decision to strip them of their royal patronages.

It will go on sale this summer.

Millions of people around the world will have been hoping that Harry could begin to repair his relationships with his father and brother in particular when he flew back to the UK for his grandfather's funeral.

He, William and Kate were seen chatting after the service after Charles sent the cars away to give them space to talk.

However, it's since been reported that Charles and William decided they needed to speak to Harry together in case the discussion was "misconstrued".

And Harry and Meghan were branded "hypocrites" after details of private correspondence to William and Kate on their tenth wedding anniversary was allegedly leaked to the press.

Now the updated version of Finding Freedom could create further tension, it's feared.

One senior courtier told The Sunday Times: "The Oprah interview detonated a bomb under the Royal Family and most of them are still reeling in shock.

"The book will not help."

Another senior royal source added: "After Oprah, what else is there to say?"

Mr Larcombe said it would "make sense" for the book's authors to address questions that remain unanswered from the Oprah chat, as well as what was said between the family after the funeral.

"Whatever's said will be a bombshell - everyone is just so gripped by the situation," he added.

"But we have to hope Harry and Meghan have been encouraged by the recent progress made during Harry's trip to the UK so that they don't do any more damage."

If it looks like the couple have worked with the authors, made negative claims or revealed private discussions, it could be "over for them" with the royals, he said.

"If the content isn't vague or neutral, it could cause another huge fallout," he added.

HARRY 'REGRETS OPRAH CHAT'

It comes after Mr Larcombe last week claimed Harry had used the Oprah interview to air his "hurt and anger" over how Meghan was treated - but is now "regretful and embarrassed".

Meghan and Harry deny making any contribution to Finding Freedom.

The book alleges that William and Harry's reported rift began when Wills allegedly warned his younger brother against moving too fast with Meghan Markle.

According to its authors, William said: "Don't feel you need to rush this.

"Take as much as time as you need to get to know this girl."

But the phrase "the girl" immediately irritated Harry, who was "p***ed off" that his brother "would ask such a thing", it's claimed.

Harry later revealed he fell in love with Meghan quickly, and said he knew she was "special" on their second date.

It was also alleged that Meghan was "disappointed" that Kate wasn't "welcoming enough".
