A plane passenger was left horrified he looked over from his seat to see a fellow traveller watching video of the 9/11 terror attacks just moments before take-off.
Grabbing his phone, the shocked JetBlue passenger filmed the man watching footage of the terrorist attacks which left over 3000 people dead when two planes crashed in the World Trade Center in New York.
The clip, which has been seen by almost 190,000 people on YouTube, shows a man dressed in a grey shirt, baseball cap and glasses watching a video of the attack as a flight taxis for take-off.
As the captain makes an announcement, the man continues to watch the video which shows smoke billowing from one of the towers of the World Trade Center.
The passenger who filmed the clip then turns the camera back to himself showing how shocked he is and then films the flight prepping for take-off.
The attacks on the World Trade Center were the most deadly terrorist attack in world history.
Two planes hijacked by Al-Qaeda terrorists crashed into the skyscrapers in central Manhattan, a third plane crashed into the Pentagon, the headquarters of the US Military.
A fourth plane was hijacked, but was control was retaken by the passengers before it crashed in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, killing all on-board.
The video – which went viral online – attracted angry responses from viewers.
One YouTube user commented, “Dude you should have filmed and tapped on his shoulder and asked him why in the world you would watch WTC plane crash while you are sitting in an actual airplane? Are you demented to think about that man? People died on that tower.”
Another user wrote: 'A lot of you are saying that if he was a different race something else would have happened. I don't care what race you are if I saw someone watching a 9/11 video as my flight was taking off I would be getting my a** off that plane ASAP. Watching that as your plane takes off is just too odd and uncomfortable for me to want to stay on.'
One commentator who calls himself Mohammed Ali suggested the response to the passenger would have been much more dramatic if he’d “been brown and had a beard.”
The person who posted the video online, who goes by the name Synging Sous, was asked by another user about the rest of his flight.
“It was quiet and uneventful,” he wrote, “just like I like my flights.”
