ISIS releases 17 point step-by-step guide on how ‘lone wolf’ fanatics should attack at the Rio Olympics
Posted on social network Telegram, the terror handbook gives advice on airport bombings, random stabbings and kidnapping hostages
DEPRAVED ISIS extremists have published a terror manual detailing how “long wolf” fanatics should target the Olympic Games in Rio.
The brainwashed killers posted the step-by-step guide, which includes 17 different attack methods, on social network Telegram.
According to US counter terrorism expert Rita Katz, the terrifying manual featured plots on airports and public transport, random knife attacks, poisoning innocent people and kidnapping hostages.
The warped thugs also urged “lone wolves”, like the Nice terror attacker Mohamed Bouhlel, to target the sporting event in Rio which kicks off on August 5.
This week it emerged that a Brazilian Jihadist group had pledged allegiance to ISIS – weeks before the start of the Olympic Games.
Extremist monitoring agency SITE, which terror expert Katz works for, reported that the group created a channel on Telegram called ‘Ansar al-Khilafah Brazil’.
It is believed to be South America’s first ISIS-supporting faction.
Brazilian fanatics have been uploading pictures of weapons to Twitter before the start of the Rio Games.
One American ISIS fanatic claims to be in the city making weapons for twisted terror attackers.
On Tuesday, the Brazilian Intelligence Agency (Abin) issued a statement addressing heightened fears of an ISIS plot.
They said: “All threats related to Rio 2016 Games are being thoroughly cleared, in particular those related to terrorism."
"Because of the subject of sensitivity, threats are addressed in an integrated way, the specialized units of confronting terrorism of the three axes responsible for the security of Rio 2016 Games - Intelligence, Public Security and Defence.”
Around 85,000 members of Brazil’s security forces – 47,000 policemen and 38,000 soldiers – will be mobilised to ensure the safety of the thousands of athletes and fans expected to attend the event which runs from August 5 until 21.
