Tattooed couple told to ‘get out’ over inkings and ‘witchcraft’ in threatening neighbours’ letter and graffiti on wall

A HEAVILY-tattooed couple claim neighbours are trying to drive them out of their home because of their body art and “witchcraft”.

Paul Riggs and his wife Annie were sent a threatening letter warning “tattoos and witchcraft are not wanted here”.

Graffiti was spray-painted on the wall of their home in Chatham, Kent

“Get out” was also sprayed on the wall outside their family home in Chatham, Kent.

Paul 49, said: “We are constantly being tormented.

“Some sort of hate campaign has been launched and they are determined to make us leave.

“We haven’t done anything wrong so we aren’t going to be bullied out of the cul de sac because of our appearance.

“I think they are jealous because we can be who we want to be.”

Tattoo artist Paul and his partner of seven years are inked “head to toe” and run Kult Klassic Tattoo Studio in the town.

Their customers have included Amy Winehouse and Sons of Anarchy star David Labrava.

Paul said: “Everyone believes we worship the devil – but we don’t.

“Annie practises witchcraft and does psychic readings.

“But that’s none of their business.”

The threatening letter, signed of on behalf of residents on the street, said: “All of us have made clear that we don’t want your type living amongst us.

“Tattoos and witchcraft are not wanted here we are prepared to do whatever it takes to be rid of you both.

“We suggest you start looking for somewhere else to live for your own good.”

Kent Police confirmed they are investigating the letter and vandalism.

A spokesperson said: “Kent Police is investigating a report that criminal damage was caused to a property in Chatham at around 3.10pm on Tuesday 20 April.

“A threatening letter is also reported to have been sent to the same address.”
