Joe Biden has third LOWEST approval rating of any president after their first 100 days in almost 70 years

HE may have only been in the White House a matter of weeks but things aren't looking too rosy for Joe Biden in terms of popularity as he hits the 100-day benchmark.

That's because he has been handed the third lowest approval rating of any president after their first 100 days in almost seven decades, a poll has revealed.

The only two since Harry Truman's days in the White House to be rated worse than Biden were Gerald Ford in 1974, at 48 per cent, and , at just 42 per cent in 2017.

The 100-day average in the 14 presidents from Truman to Biden is a 66 per cent approval rate - meaning the current president is lagging behind at just 52 per cent.

The figures come after performance and progressive policies as he reaches his first 100 days in office.

"The Biden Administration and  have definitely exceeded expectations that progressives had," the New York Congresswoman said during a  on Friday.

"I'll be frank, a lot of us expected a much more conservative administration."

AOC showered her support for Joe Biden and made note of the massive $1.9trillion Covid-19 American Rescue Plan stimulus package he spearheaded.

"It’s been good so far,"; the congresswoman said in the dealings with the 46th president, adding that Biden has been "impressive" for his "willingness" to consider the progressive agenda.
