Girl, 5, snatched to safety when glass canopy in Argos fell and smashed on floor as she was playing Pokemon Go
Her father grabbed her and pulled her from danger as the glass fell over where she was standing
A FIVE-YEAR-OLD girl had a narrow escape as a glass canopy broke and fell over where she had been standing while playing Pokemon Go moments before.
Elsie Roughan-Woodthorpe was playing the newly released game, which has taken the world by storm, when her Dad pulled her to safety as glass collapsed above her.
The glass canopy over a door of an Argos store in Gloucester broke while Elsie and her father were playing the game.
Her mother was inside the store looking at presents for Elsie's upcoming birthday.
Ray said he heard a smashing sound and his paternal instincts kicked in. He grabbed Elsie from where she was standing – just in the nick of time.
He said: "I still don't know how I knew to move her, I just did. The next second glass hit the floor where she was standing.
"She cut her hand but it could have been a lot worse.
