Former PM David Cameron takes the back row as he sits in on Theresa May’s Trident speech. . . before pulling out his iPhone

Ex-Prime Minister David Cameron took a seat on the backbenches for the first time in 11 years yesterday.

As Theresa May took to the dispatch box for the first time in her new job, her predecessor looked on from directly behind her.

Cameron was only just visible on the fourth row of the House of Commons green benches.

He listened as the new Prime Minister said she would be prepared to push the red button on a nuclear strike that would kill 100,000 people in discussions over whether to renew Trident.
