While Haley has reportedly voiced opinions suggesting Trump is wrong about some of his claims over a fraudulent election, she is still in support of the former president and possible 2024 candidate.
“[Trump] has the ability to get strong people elected, and he has the ability to move the ball, and I hope that he continues to do that. We need him in the Republican Party. I don’t want us to go back to the days before Trump," Haley said, according to the Wall Street Journal.
As for the future of the Republican Party, Haley hopes to use her position to unite the country and steer America away from "self-loathing."

She hopes the Republican Party can build a society with no discrimination and protected free speech.
Haley added that Trump would never have left US equipment and citizens behind in Afghanistan.
Is Nikki Haley running for president in 2024?
In April 2022, Haley said she would not run for the presidency in 2024 if former President Trump mounts another campaign for the White House.
"I would not run if President Trump ran and I would talk to him about it," Haley told the .
"That’s something that we will have a conversation about at some point if that decision is something that has to be made. But yeah, I would, absolutely."
In November 2022, Trump announced his 2024 presidential run.
Following Trump's announcement, Haley eluded to the idea that she would run for president regardless of Trump's confirmed candidacy.
On February 14, 2023, Nikki Haley announced in a video that she has placed her bid for the 2024 presidential race.
Haley said: "It’s time for a new generation of leadership – to rediscover fiscal responsibility, secure our border, and strengthen our country, our pride, and our purpose.
"They all think we can be bullied, kicked around. You should know this about me, I don't put up with bullies, and when you kick back it hurts them more if you're wearing heels."
Haley is the first of the Republican party to challenge Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential seat.

Who is Nikki Haley's husband Michael?
Ohio native Michael Haley is a commissioned officer in the South Carolina Army National Guard.
He served as the First Gentleman of South Carolina from 2011 to 2017.
In January 2012, Haley was shipped out for a year-long tour of duty in Afghanistan, as a captain in the South Carolina Army National Guard.
His unit served in Helmand Province as an Agribusiness Development Team helping Afghan farmers improve farming techniques and develop cash crops to replace opium poppies.
