Superstar ‘wanted to marry young Emma Watson if his friend’s 12-year-old daughter refused’
Michael Jackson's personal physician set to release explosive new book which will reveal he had 'unrequited love' for the young girls
MICHAEL Jackson's private doctor has claimed the singer wanted to marry a famous British friend's 12-year-old daughter ... or if she refused, 11-year-old Harry Potter star Emma Watson.
The extraordinary claims are made in Dr Conrad Murray's new book, This Is It, named after the concerts Jacko was due show at London's O2 Arena before he died.
Mr Murray said: "He wanted me to tell this story - now I am fulfilling his wish."
The star's doc claimed Michael was infatuated with the daughter of close friend, Mark Lester.
He first met his god-daughter, Harriet, when she was five-years-old, but aged 12 the Thriller singer wanted to wed the girl after he became "fixated" on the pre-teen.
Mr Murray, writing in the Sunday Mirror ahead of the book's release, said:“He wanted me to go with him to visit her father and to discuss plans for matrimony while in London, during the This Is It concerts."
But the physician raised concerns about the girl's age to the star.
"I was concerned that Harriet was legally far too young for marriage in most of the world.
“When I asked Michael how old she was, he said he was not sure, but thought she could be about 12 years old.
"I remembered saying to him in Trinidad and Tobago I’m familiar with some prearranged marriages, especially in the Hindu faith, but I don’t think it’s allowed for ages that young."
He added: “He said he planned to have someone review the legality and ramifications of marrying someone as young as Harriet when he arrived in London.
“He wanted me to visit Harriet’s father with him so he could discuss the ramifications of marrying
someone that young in the western world.”
The doc also revealed that Jacko wanted to wed 11-year-old Emma Watson if he couldn't marry his first choice wife.
Murray spoke about how the superstar had a cardboard cut out of the Harry Potter actress in his rented Los Angeles home after seeing her in the franchise films aged just 11 at the time.
He said: “Michael told me he was almost as consumed with British actress Emma Watson.
He had ‘fallen in love with her’ when she was in her first Harry Potter film in 2001, when she was just 11.
Emma was his second choice for a bride if things did not work out with Harriet.”
The star planned to settle in London after his concerts, the doc also claimed.
He planned to use the £250 million he expected to make in the O2 run to lavish his new bride, Murray said.
“Michael felt the time was now since he would amass sizable wealth with his concerts, tours, and movie production, and would therefore be able to provide a very comfortable life for his bride.”
Murray, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter following the singer's death in 2009, said the revelations were the closest he came to asking the Billie Jean singer about paedophilia claims.
“This was the closest Michael ever came to answering my own unasked questions about the paedophilia allegations that had haunted him for years,” he writes.
“I never challenged Michael. That is because I instinctively knew that when it came to very sensitive subjects, Michael could as quickly shut down, as he had been forthright.
But one thing was clear: the way Michael spoke about the young girls was not an innocent crush, but an unrequited love.”
Murray did not comment on whether he felt Jackson posed a risk to children.
He told the : “You must read the book and make those decisions for yourself.”
Murray denies having written the book for financial gain saying "money was never my motivation".
He added: “This Is It is the true story of Michael’s life that has never been told. It is the final word. It is the story of who Michael Jackson really was. It’s the truth.
“As friends, Michael and I shared a lot of secrets that have never been shared with anyone else."
