Google Maps user spots six ‘alien ships’ hovering over Pacific Ocean as US probes tic-tac UFOs buzzing ships
A GOOGLE Maps user has claimed six dots that appeared to be hovering over the Pacific Ocean could be “alien ships”.
The apparent news comes just days after it was suggested UFOs began popping up off the California coast last year, prompting US Navy warships to follow them in a high-speed pursuit.
The latest image, posted on Reddit, shows six white dots in the blue sky over what the poster said are the Northern Mariana Islands, a US territory comprised of 14 islands in the northwestern Pacific Ocean.
The post though was met with some scepticism with one person joking: "Our overlords made some air holes in the blue box they keep us in. They are good, they take care of us."
Another Reddit user thought there was a much simpler explanation, saying: "Nope, light reflections."
The Northern Mariana Islands are home to around 56,000 people spread across the islands.
Just days ago it was suggested six out-of-this-world tic-tac-shaped drones flew at speeds of up to 45 miles per hour and travelled at least 100 nautical miles in July 2019 - far surpassing known drones on the market.
When the incident was brought up to the Chief of Naval Operations and then the FBI, the Navy began investigating itself as a potential sources of the unmanned aerial vehicles.
Although the Navy sealed up its findings, The Drive, a connoisseur of all things military, uncovered internal emails released by the Navy under the Freedom of Information Act.
The site found the Navy warship the USS Kidd and USS Rafael Peralta documented the first appearance of two UAVs on July 14, 2019 just before 10pm.
The USS Kidd's Ship Nautical Or Otherwise Photographic Interpretation and Exploitation team (charmingly monikered SNOOPIE) began attempting contact with the UFOs but all efforts were proved to be futile.
A Navy pilot who had witnessed "Tic Tac" UFOS said the
"The radar is smart enough that when the signal comes back, if it's been messed with, it will tell you - it will give you indications that it's being jammed," wrote Commander David Fravor. "It's being jammed into about every mode you can see."
He added: "When you actively jam another platform, yes it's technically an act of war."
