IS terrorists have revealed horrific images of the mangled corpse of a Syrian pilot hanging in the streets after his plane was shot down.
Footage of the aftermath of the attack shows the devastating wreck of the plane, believed to have been part of the Syrian airforce, with ISIS claiming responsibility for the attack over the Al-Khayr province.
The footage shows the burning rubble of the plane with the video released by the Amaq agency, which is aligned with ISIS.
The shooting is believed to have occurred near the Al-Khayr provice which is a division of the Islamic State for Deir al-Zour, Syria.
The mangled corpse of the pilot was then taken from the crash site and left hanging in the streets.
It is unknown how ISIS shot down the Syrian plane.
The jet is believed to have been shot down while carrying out air strikes against ISIS.
ISIS controls most of the eastern province of Deir ez-Zor with the attack that brought down the Syrian war plane the second since April.
Former reports from the region have included a Russian helicopter being shot down in Palmyra, in central Syria.
The shocking footage showed ISIS militants shoot down the Russian helicopter, killing the two pilots inside.
The video shows the chopper hit with a rocket before spinning out of control with the shooters heard cheering as it plummets to the ground.
In a statement, the Russian Defence Ministry confirmed that the aircraft’s crew were killed in the attack with reports suggesting that two pilots were on board.
The shootings come after it was warned that Russian leader Vladimir Putin was determined to send the country's largest battleship to Syria to crush ISIS.
