The new augmented reality game encourages users to go outside and capture Pokémon in their immediate surroundings.

Shayla told : "The Pokémons are all over Riverton, I was trying to get a Pokémon from a natural water resource.

"I was walking towards the bridge along the shore when I saw something in the water.

"I had to take a second look and I realised it was a body."

The teenager immediately reported the discovery.

Police told her they believe the body, which was floating about three feet from the shore, had been there for less than 24 hours.

Authorities continue to investigate and further information has yet to be released.

Pokémon Go was released earlier this month.

It allows users to capture, battle, train and trade Pokémon who appear as though they are in their immediate surroundings.

Users have to move about in the real world to play the game.

Pokémon has proved popular since its release, although this is not the only reason it has made the news.

An Australian police station has asked users not to enter while collecting items, while Washington's Department of Transportation warned against using the game while driving.
