Supermarket chain under fire for selling sex toys right next to childrens’ medicine
Mum shocked when ten-year-old son went to get Calpol ... and came back with pulsing penis ring
ASDA is under fire from shocked customers for selling sex toys.
The supermarket chain stocks vibrators and pleasure rings alongside its range of condoms.
One mum said she was amazed when she asked her ten-year-old boy to fetch some Calpol and he returned with a £4.50 Durex Little Devil ring.
The lawyer, of Halifax, said: “He asked me what a pulsing penis ring is.
“I was flabbergasted.
“I think he thought it was some kind of child’s toy.
“I was staggered by the array of items.
“These are items for sex shops or online shopping only.
“I’m no prude but everyone I have spoken to is surprised a supermarket chain can sell vibrating sex toys in the same place as kids’ medicines.”
The chain sells a Durex Delight vibrating bullet for £10, a selection of massage oils and “pleasure gels” and a two-pack of pleasure rings for £9.99.
The mum said: “I don’t know about Asda Price their slogan should be Asda Vice.”
A store spokeswoman said: “We offer a wide range of products for the whole family.
“We ensure our adult ranges are kept out of the line of sight and reach of children.”
