PEOPLE will finally be able to meet up indoors from May 17 as lockdown eases - meaning some sex-starved Brits could be in luck.

Boris Johnson today confirmed details of how the UK would start to emerge from the Covid lockdown as the lowest death toll in ten weeks was recorded.

As part of the roadmap announced by the PM, Brits have been told they will be able to meet inside while following the rule of six or two households by May 17.

Speaking today, Boris said: "Today the end really is in sight. A wretched year will soon give way to spring and summer that will be very different to today."

Travel within England will also be allowed from May 17.

This means Brits will be able to travel to a holiday house together for a break - while following the number restrictions - for the summer.

The change on May 17 will also see the rules adjusted for Brits meeting outdoors.

Boris today announced that the rule of six and two household constraints are expected to be lifted for Brits meeting outdoors.

Instead up to 30 people will be able to meet in parks.

Praising the vaccination programme, which has so far seen more than 17million people receive their first dose, the PM said: "The vaccination program has dramatically changed the odds in our favour."

It is hoped the country’s 54 million adults will be offered a jab by the end of July.

And the rule changes also mean that sex is back on for single Brits looking to mingle after the pandemic threw the country into a "sexual rut".

Lockdown restrictions had previously met Brits were not allowed to meet inside - stopping any chance of some nookie.

It comes as Boris Johnson revealed retail shops, outdoor hospitality venues and hairdressers will be allowed to open from April 12.

May 17 is also expected to see indoor exercise gyms and indoor hospitality allowed to reopen.

Meanwhile, loved up couples were given clarity over wedding rules in Boris Johnson’s speech in the Commons today.

It comes after a study today revealed Covid vaccines are slashing severe cases of the disease by up to 94%.

It’s the first set of data to come out of the jab programme in the UK, in which more than 17 million people have had a first dose of either the Oxford or Pfizer vaccine.
