At least ten killed by two jihadi car bombs targeting military base near Yemen airport
No terrorist group has yet to claim responsibility for the attack which happened in the southern city of Aden
Jihadi suicide bombers have killed at least 10 people in Yemen after two cars, which were targeting a security compound, exploded near an international airport.
The devastating attack happened in the southern city of Aden on Wednesday during the Eid al-Fitr holiday marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
While Yemen has recently been hit by attacks from an Islamic State affiliate, no group has claimed responsibility for this latest bombing.
Yemeni officials said the car bomb hit the Central Security headquarters, which neighbours the Aden International Airport.
Following the deadly explosion, militants stormed the compound and clashed with soldiers.
Further explosions were reportedly heard and ambulance sirens wailed in the distance.
The officials, who remained anonymous because they are not authorised to speak to the media, said the death toll was expected to rise.
