Another foot discovered in a garden close to where one was found in undergrowth four months ago
Murder squad cops are on scene to investigate second left foot found near park
A SECOND left foot has been discovered in a garden - four months after another was found in a nearby park.
The gruesome find was made by Avon and Somerset cops yesterday who were scouring the area and a neighbouring house on Weston Park in Bath, Somerset.
It follows the discovery of another foot - severed a couple of inches above the ankle - just yards away in Weston Park East which backs onto the house.
Detectives believe it was likely to be a teaching prop from a medical university.
After a four month investigation officers at Avon and Somerset Police have ruled out the idea that any crime has been committed, but admit they are still confused about how it got there.
But now a second foot has been discovered, cops are back on the case.
At the time Detective Inspector Paul Catton said: “The public really want answers and I want answers.
“I want to hear from any colleges or buildings that were previously schools and may have owned items like this
Temporary Detective Inspector Paul Catton said: "At this stage detectives are linking the two finds due to the physical similarities and the close proximity of the locations at which they were found.
"The same investigation team are looking into the latest discovery and the foot will be sent to the same pathologist to examine."

DI Catton added: "We carried out a full and thorough investigation into the discovery of the first foot and the same will be done for this one.
"We will be looking to confirm beyond all reasonable doubt that the two discoveries are linked and, if so, whether the most recent find offers any lines of inquiry which can be taken forward.
"Our earlier investigation exhausted all possible lines of inquiry and we were satisfied that no crime had been committed."
