BRITAIN’S first legal red light zone could be scrapped following a prostitute’s murder.
Daria Pionko, 21, was kicked to death in the managed area by trucker Lewis Pierre, 24.
The killer, who had her blood on his boots, was convicted of murder yesterday at Leeds crown court and faces life today.
On the eve of his sentence, it emerged the 7pm to 7am sex zone in the city’s suburb of Holbeck may be abolished.
It was set up in 2014 in the hope of making life safer for hookers, but local residents and firms are demanding it is shut.
