Ex-fiance of former S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt denies assaulting and ‘confronting her at her home’

THE FORMER fiance of ex-S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt today appeared in court charged with attacking her.

Fitness trainer Adam Thomas, 36, faced one charge of common assault and one charge of witness intimidation at Wimbledon Magistrates Court.

Wearing a dark suit and grey tie, Thomas spoke only to confirm his name and address, reports the

He has pleaded not guilty to both offences and will stand trial at Kingston Crown Court on July 29.

The court heard he had breached bail conditions following the initial assault and texted her .

He then turned up at Miss Spearritt's home address to confront her, the court was told.

Thomas and Miss Spearritt began dating in 2013 when she became a client and the pair moved in together and were engaged soon after.

However they split after Miss Spearritt, 35, rekindled a romance with her former S Club 7 band mate Paul Cattermole, 39, which ended this year.

Thomas, of Chiswick, was given conditional bail and cannot contact Miss Spearritt or enter Kings Road, Twickenham.

Last year, Hannah revealed her earnings from S Club 7 totalled £600,000 after four years in the pop band.

S Club 7 enjoyed 12 top ten singles and four albums selling 14 million copies before the band split in 2003, months after Cattermole left the group
