C U LATER EU HATER

How the internet reacted to Farage’s resignation and the hilarious suggestions for new Ukip leader

And it's pretty clear many are sure we haven't seen the back of him yet

WITHIN minutes of Nigel Farage announcing he is to quit as Ukip leader - the internet was flooded with mock tributes and hilarious memes.

As he declared he had done his bit by winning the EU referendum - social media fans did their bit to ensure his farewell was a funny one.

Announcing his resignation (AGAIN) at a press conference in central London this morning, Mr Farage said: "During the referendum campaign I said I want my country back. What I am saying today is I want my life back."

He also pledged the people of Britain would now see the 'real' Nigel sparking plenty more mick-taking on social media.

Farage was famously re-appointed Ukip leader days after resigning after last year's General Election, but insisted this morning that 'this time I mean it, I'm not coming back.'

However many people aren't sure politics has seen the last of him as these Tweets reveal.
