North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un has piled on six stone since taking power four years ago
Twenty-stone despot also suffers from insomnia and paranoia, says report
LOOKS like it’s all gone Pete Tong for chubby dictator Kim Jong-Un.
The binge-eating North Korean despot has gained six stone since taking power in 2012, South Korea’s spy agency told its government.
The 33-year-old leader also has insomnia and is paranoid about his safety, the National Intelligence Service (NIS) said in a briefing for lawmakers.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting, a ruling Saenuri Party lawmaker, Lee Cheol-Woo, said Kim weighed about 14 stone when he took over from his late father Kim Jong-Il in 2012.
He was over 18 stone by 2014 and now weighs more than 20.
Lee also said Kim "keeps a close tab on any potential threats to his power, including the military, and he is obsessed with ensuring his personal safety".
Citing the NIS report Lee added: "Because of his habitual binge eating and drinking, he is likely to develop adult diseases".
As well as being obese Kim is known to be a frequent smoker.
His father and grandfather Kim Il-Sung were also overweight and heavy smokers. Both died of heart attacks.
