Pet parlour’s Princess Leia-style towel buns for dogs go viral
THESE pups are pet-parlour primed and Luke like they’re grinning from ear to Leia.
They are all sporting towel buns which look like the hairstyle made famous by the Princess in the 1977 Star Wars movie.
Dog groomer Miyabi Chan, 35, from Florida, uses the trick to block out noise and calm them.
She said: “Everyone also loves the Princess Leia style towels that I put on the dogs before I bathe them. I do this because it helps them feel more calm.
“It feels like somebody petting them and it blocks the sound of the water a little so the more nervous dogs don’t get spooked.
“Huskies usually hate their head being touched so they sometimes shake the towel off but the other dogs absolutely love it and they look adorable when they wear it.”
Miyabi now has quite a large following across her social media pages, with thousands of people commenting on the quirky head towel technique - which she thought of when she wanted to emulate head towels at human spas.
Her posts regularly go viral online, with the videos and images of golden retrievers, huskies and French bulldogs being the most popular.
Miyabi added: “It was surprising that the videos exploded and I feel really proud to have my work put out there on a global scale.
“I just wanted to try and have some fun with my job.
“It’s all a bit of fun and cheers people up, especially with all that’s going on at the moment.”
