These shocking pictures show the horrific injuries suffered by a toddler after he was savaged by a pitbull.
Little Bryson Moore needed 12 stitches and staples in his head following the brutal attack.
He faces months of reconstructive surgery and doctors fear he could lose the sight in his right eye.
Mum Brooklyn who is still at school and so has no medical insurance was also bitten by the animal which is banned in most of Kentucky.
She has now set up a gofundme page to try and raise the money to help pay for his spiralling medical costs which could rise to £10,000.
The 19-month-old was attacked by the pitbull, called Diesel, when Brooklyn took him to visit a friend.
Brooklyn, 16, from Ashland, Kentucky, USA, said: “We were invited over by a friend of mine to stop by.
“After we were invited inside, one of the children she was babysitting,who is aged eight, opened a cage after saying 'this dog is super super mean'.

“As soon as the dog heard the door unlock, he pounced out and immediately started attacking my baby.
“As me and my friend pulled the pitbull off it started to attack me. I shoved the dog off me and it ran outside.
“We ran outside as well because there was another pitbull lose inside. I was screaming and begging for help.
“One of the neighbours called the police. While we were outside the dog attacked me again on the arm. My friend Rachel was bit on the jaw.
“I managed to put Bryson in a neighbour’s car trying to make sure the dog wouldn’t harm my baby again.
“The police showed up and the dog tried to run back inside the house where there were three more children.”
Bryson was rushed to hospital for urgent treatment. Brooklyn received more than 20 stitches to her elbow for a serious bite.
Police seized the animal, which belongs to Brooklyn's friend's brother, and it is now awaiting its fate.
Kentucky is a strict liability state and the law is favourable to anyone who is injured by a dog.
The Penn Foster student has appointed personal injury lawyers Myers and Perfater, based in Charleston, West Virginia, to fight her case.
Nobody from Boyd County Sheriff's Department was available for comment.
Messages wishing the curly-haired toddler a speedy recovery have flooded in from across the world and more than 20,000 people have shared his picture on social media.
Regenia Bush posted: "Oh my heavens! Prayers for both your family members. Such a precious baby"
Delphia Fitchpatrick said: "I cried just seeing this pic. Prayers for this baby."
Jaimie Hardwick Diamond added: "Goodness gracious, poor baby. I sure hope they killed the dog."
Regina Lee Allen Sluss posted: "I am so sorry, I hope they recover quickly and that this doesn't leave them terrified of all dogs."
And Little Lady added: "This is so sad. Prayers for them. People please don't ever trust a pitbull. We have owned a few of them, and they are nothing but dangerous."
Between 2005 and 2015, dogs have killed 360 Americans with pitbulls contributing 64 per cent (232) of these deaths, according to website dogsbite.org .
Last year there were 34 dog-bite related fatalities in the US and 459 disfigurements. Pitbulls make up around 6.6 per cent of the total US dog population.
Pitbulls and Rottweilers accounted for 91 per cent of the total recorded deaths in 2015.
