Sisters describe Tanya Easdale as 'the best mum any child could ever wish for'

A mum-of-two posted the poignant message "Be kind to one another, even if you disagree on stuff" on Facebook the day before she died in a horrific car crash, which left her two daughters fighting for their lives.

Tanya Easdale, 36, died at the scene of the collision, in Herefordshire, on Sunday afternoon.

Her daughters Olivia, eight, and Danielle, six, remain in hospital in a serious but stable condition after being cut from the wreck by firemen.

Relatives have described Tanya, who would have celebrated her 37th birthday tomorrow, as a "super mum" devoted to her daughters.

Her sisters Penny Martindale and Anne-Marie Easdale said she lived for her "two beautiful girls".

They said: "She would do absolutely anything for them, the best mum any child could ever wish for.

"Those girls have lost their world, but gained an angel that will be with them through every walk of their lives."

Olivia and Danielle were airlifted to Birmingham Children's Hospital after the collision where relatives are at their bedsides.

Tanya had just started working as an activity co-ordinator at a care home, which told her family of the amazing impact she had already made.

Her sisters said: "This was no surprise to us, as she was so bubbly and cheerful and could make any room light up instantly, just with her presence.

"Anyone that knew Tanya would know that she loved to talk.

"One thing's for sure, you'd never have an awkward silence if Tan was in the room."

Her sisters added that Tanya had made a real difference to the lives of the children in her previous job at the Stay and Play nursery in Weobley, Herefordshire, where she lived.

They said: "She was so loved by children, always the entertainer and so much fun.

"The whole school is devastated by her loss. She made a big impact on a lot of the children's lives there too."

Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident involving Tanya's  black Ford KA and a red Land Rover Freelander on the A44 near Leominster.

PC Bob Conway said: "Our thoughts are with the family at this tragic time.

"I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to get in touch."

The two people in the Freelander did not require hospital treatment.
