British tourist left with an outline of his IPHONE on his chest after falling asleep in the sun

Daniel Da Silva nodded off for two hours while listening to music on his phone on Cyprus getaway

A British tourist was left with this outline of his iPhone on his chest after falling asleep in the sun.

Daniel Da Silva, 29, was on holiday in Famagusta in Cyprus when he decided to slope off to listen to music on a sun lounger by the pool.

But he was left startled when he realised his entire body had been burnt to a crisp – leaving a distinctive white rectangle where his phone had been resting and even the outline of the charging cable.
Daniel says the unusual imprint attracted plenty of attention from fellow sun worshippers on holiday – and a number of passers-by stopped him to admire the hilarious blunder.

Daniel said: "I woke up after having a nap in the sun and my phone fell off my chest when I stood up, and that's when I noticed it straightaway. I couldn't believe it.
"You can even see a white bit where my headphones were. I was only asleep for about two hours, I didn't put any sun lotion on. It was the first day of my holiday."

He added: "I was away with my mum and brother but I flew over to Marmaris to visit my girlfriend and her little boy for three days. Everyone was in stitches when they saw it.
"I had strangers coming up to me and laughing about it. Fellas were running up to me and saying 'you couldn't write that.' People thought it was hilarious.
"It has gone now and I have gone brown, but it took a good seven days to disappear and I had to use after sun every day."
