A BOY has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead at a property in Brighton.
Police were called to an address in Cedars Gardens, Withdean at 6.55pm last night and found the pensioner dead at the scene.
Police say the suspect and 69-year-old victim are known to each other.
The 17-year-old teen has been arrested on suspicion of murder and taken into custody for questioning.
Police are not currently looking for anyone else in relation to the crime and have said there is no risk to the local community.
The investigation is being carried out by detectives from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team.
A Sussex Police spokesperson said: "At 6.55pm police were called to a residential address in Cedars Gardens, Withdean, Brighton, where the woman was found deceased.
