Twenty-three people died during the Manchester Arena bombing in May 2017

Families of the 22 killed by Salman Abedi’s bomb hit out at Amazon over our findings, as an expert said the firm was “aiding and abetting” terror.

Suicide bomber Abedi, 22, detonated the shrapnel-laden device after an Ariana Grande gig. More than 800 were hurt.

He bought some parts for it on Amazon.

The Sun on Sunday obtained the items, including nails and acid, more than 2½ years after the May 2017 horror.

Security analyst Will Geddes, of ICP Group, said: “I’d expect there to be a flagging system so Amazon could alert the security services if someone bought all these items together.

“Why would Amazon enable this? It could be considered as aiding and abetting.”

Alex Klis, 23, whose parents Marcin, 42, and Angelika, 39, died in the blast as they waited for her and her sister, said: “It’s disgusting. There’s no reason one person needs all those things at once. Amazon are aiding the terrorists.”

Amazon no longer stocks the high-strength acid used in the Manchester attack and “only sells products that comply with UK law”.

A spokesman also said it works with law authorities to assist investigations.
